Newborn
Session

The full newborn session can include 3 to 4 set-ups using the beanbag and/or props, images with parents and newborn, each individual parent with newborn, sibling(s) with newborn, and the entire family. The number of set-ups, type of props used and the total number of images from the session is dependent upon the cooperation of the baby and/or siblings. The length of the session depends upon the cooperation of baby and siblings and the number of feedings or settling breaks needed, but in general, it is approximately 3 hours. The session can be in the studio or client’s home, and some setups can be done outdoors weather permitting. It is recommended the session be scheduled when the baby is between 6 and 21 days old.

Parent/newborn and newborn/sibling images are not included but can be added on for an additional fee. Session can be performed in the studio or client’s home. It is recommended the session be conducted when baby is between 6 and 30 days old.

Maternity

A full maternity session can be performed at the studio, client’s home, or mutually agreed-upon outdoor location. Gowns from the Julia Pollex Photography collection can be used. The total session time is 90 minutes; longer sessions and sessions with multiple locations can be arranged. Sessions are best scheduled between 31 and 34 weeks gestation. The session may include partners, siblings, and/or grandparents.

The session includes a milk bath with fresh flowers and greenery and is performed at the studio unless the client has or has access to a suitable style of bathtub. A collection of gowns is available to choose from. Sessions are best conducted between 31 and 34 weeks.

Milestone sessions can be performed at various points during the first year such as when baby is able to hold head up, sit independently, stand holding onto an object and/or to commemorate the one year mark. They are shorter sessions lasting approximately 20 - 30 minutes and contain 2 set-ups. A “Smash and Splash” is not included as a milestone session.

Children's
Session

Children's sessions can be done in the studio, outdoors at the studio, client’s home, or mutually agreed upon location. Session may include 2-3 set-ups with props and use of clothing for fine art photography. Total length of the session is up to 1.5 hours; however, the session may be shorter depending upon the cooperation of participants.

Special Programs
As a mother who endured years of infertility treatments and pregnancy loss, and a member of Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep, a volunteer network dedicated to photographing dead or dying infants, I understand the suffering that some families endure. Once each month I provide a newborn session to a family who has endured difficulties in bringing their bundle of love into this world. I invite families or their friends to notify me of someone that qualifies for this opportunity.
